"I was raised to be admired"

...or something like that was the line that stuck out to me in tonight's episode of Mad Men. Joan said that in response to about how she received flowers and whatnot. It got me thinking...what if more little girls were raised with this mindset? Would that help instill a good self esteem amongst women in a time where self esteem is under attack 24/7? Constant images of how women should look, how we should act, what we should wear..etc. are all around us. More little girls need to be raised with a tough self concept in order to survive. Just rambling....

So annoyed!

Ever went to the store only to get home and realize you have forgotten to get something? That just happened to me. It's so frustrating. And to add to the frustration, I can't go back out to the store. *pulls hair out* lol

Driving Rant

Ever see a beat up car that has clearly been in an accident because it still has dents and damage? Well, I get so frustrated when I see these cars driving carelessly. It's like, Hello!? That's probably how your car got beat up in the first place. Drive with some sense so that everyone else's car doesn't mimic yours!

President Obama will lose...

I'm so frustrated at watching gay marriage once against become a topic during election time. Like are they serious? That's how former president Bush duped fire and brimstone black baptist into voting for him - not knowing they were in for a terrible leadership. There are so many more important issues to focus on and this really puts those same loyal voters in a bind. Choosing between their beliefs and loyalty to President Obama. By loyalty I am referring to the historic reason of why many black people voted. I'm not talking about the democratic party loyalty. As you see, once you put these tired issues of gay marriage and abortion on the table, it distracts certain populations from the real issues like the economy, defense, foreign policy...etc. Who really cares about gay marriage that much that they would yet again vote just on that one issue? Oh yeah, that's right. Millions of Americans. *eye roll*

So animals DO have accents!

I came across an article today (it's a republished topic) that peaked my interest in a subject I had long forgotten about; animal accents. According to Fisher Education, whales of different locations produce sounds with a different dialect. It prevents whales from mating with another male that is too similar genetically. The article also claimed farmers have said they can tell if a cow came from out of state by their "moos." lol. Too neat.
